Quebec Early Paint Degradation Class Action Settlement Approved by Superior Court

  • The Superior Court of Quebec has approved an agreement to settle Quebec class action litigation relating to early paint degradation on certain Honda Civic and Acura CSX models.
  • Class members may claim compensation under the settlement for certain repaint expenses and other damages.

The Superior Court of Quebec has approved an agreement to resolve early paint degradation class action litigation in Quebec.

The settlement agreement covers certain early paint degradation on 2006-2013 Honda Civic and 2006-2011 Acura CSX vehicles. Examples of the applicable paint degradation will be available on the websites noted below.

As part of the approved settlement, Honda Canada has agreed to, among other things:

  • Cover certain repaint expenses for class vehicles; and
  • Compensate class members for other prescribed damages.
