Anna Engine Plant Friction Stir Welding
The Honda Anna Engine Plant in Ohio employs Friction Stir Welding (FSW) to create the cast aluminum battery case by seamlessly joining the two halves of the case cast at the plant. The Anna Engine Plant is the largest Honda engine plant in the world and is now taking on additional responsibilities including megacasting the EV battery case that will house the battery pack that powers Honda and Acura EVs made at the Honda EV Hub.
