Dave Jamieson has been with Honda Canada since April 2003 and has held highly visible leadership positions and earned a reputation as a self-motivated opportunistic leader driven to attain results.
As Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing, Chief Operating Officer, and Board Member at Honda Canada, Dave utilizes his vast experience and superior marketing and sales management qualifications in advertising, pricing, market analysis and distribution. Participation in extensive employee training and development has enabled Dave to attain outstanding analytical, strategic planning and leadership skills.
As a member of the senior leadership group and core member of the Company Operating Committee, Dave helps steer the overall direction of the organization and contributes to Honda Canada’s philanthropic direction as the Chair of the Honda Canada Foundation.
Dave joined Honda Canada as Senior Manager of Parts Operations in the Customer Service division before moving into the role of Senior Manager of Auto Sales. From there, Dave advanced to Assistant Vice President of Auto Sales where he was responsible for five regional zone operations, national sales operations and automobile logistics and distribution.
With more than 25 years of brand and marketing experience in the automotive industry, Dave became the Assistant Vice President of the Honda Brand in 2011 before moving to his role as Vice President of Honda Financial Services in 2015, where he was responsible for the sales, marketing and customer service functions of Honda’s financial product offerings.
His next role was as Vice President of Parts and Service, where he was responsible for all facets of Honda and Acura’s automotive parts and service divisions in Canada, overseeing national parts sales and logistics, sales and service technician training, dealership service standards programs and overall parts business operations.
Dave’s automotive career started at an early age. When he was just 13 years old he began doing odd jobs at his uncle’s dealership in Collingwood, Ontario. What started as a part-time job quickly turned into a full-time passion. In 2003, Dave got his first Honda vehicle – a 2003 Accord – and hasn’t looked back since.
When Dave isn’t managing the parts and service business, he’s planning his next fly-fishing adventure to Northern British Columbia.
