What to Watch for Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
- Number one: Alex Palou has scored five consecutive NTT INDYCAR SERIES pole positions heading into this weekend's Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio. Should the Spaniard qualify on pole at Mid-Ohio this weekend—a feat he accomplished in both 2024 and 2025—he would tie Alex Zanardi's six-consecutive pole positions that the late, great Italian driver also achieved in a Chip Ganassi Racing Honda across the 1996-1997 seasons. Palou also extended his championship lead last weekend, emerging from Road America with a 60-point advantage in the standings. The driver of the #10 Chip Ganassi Racing Honda already has four wins this season as the Spaniard goes for his fifth NTT INDYCAR SERIES title before the age of 30.
- Mr. Mid-Ohio: Winner of the 2025 edition of the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio, Scott Dixon, will be going for his eighth win at the 2.258-mile circuit. Seven of Dixon's Mid-Ohio wins have come with Honda power, and his 2025 victory extended his streak to 21 consecutive NTT INDYCAR SERIES seasons with at least one win. Dixon's Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course wins have come in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2025. He will be looking to extend his record at the central Ohio facility by working his way back to victory lane this weekend.
- Acura Armstrong: Meyer Shank Racing's Marcus Armstrong will be back in Acura colors this weekend. In its two appearances thus far this season, the Acura-backed Honda-powered Indy cars have notched two top-five finishes. Felix Rosenqvist put his #60 on pole at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach and finished P2 in the race, while Marcus Armstrong finished fifth in a strong showing in the Acura colors at the Indianapolis 500. Acura first appeared on an Indy car in 1994 when Comptech Racing ran Acura branding on its Honda-powered Lola driven by Parker Johnstone. Acura also appeared on the car of Jack Harvey in 2019 to celebrate Acura's title sponsorship of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. This year, Acura has activated around the IndyCar series to celebrate 40 years of the Acura brand and help introduce the automaker to a new, and growing, audience in IndyCar.
- Journey to the center of Ohio: Honda has a long history in Ohio both as an automaker and in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. Honda drivers have won 13 of the 20 IndyCar races run at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course since the series returned under the Honda Indy 200 banner in 2007—most recently with Dixon last year. Other Honda victories at Mid-Ohio were scored by Colton Herta in 2020, as the Andretti Global driver headed a Honda sweep of the top five finishing positions. Honda recorded another podium sweep in 2019 as six-time series champion Dixon scored his fifth Mid-Ohio win. Central Ohio is also an important location for Honda production vehicles, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is just over 60 miles from the Honda Marysville and East Liberty Auto Plants as well as Honda Research & Development. More than 400,000 Honda and Acura automobiles are produced in Ohio each year, as well as research and design on components for Honda products from lawnmowers to the HondaJet.

- Television coverage of Sunday's Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio presented by the 2027 CR-V Hybrid will air at 12:30 PM ET on Fox. Complete, flag-to-flag race coverage also will be available on the INDYCAR Radio Network, and SiriusXM INDYCAR Nation (Channel 160).
