Thousands of hockey fans who filled BC Place at the 2014 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic™ were on-hand to watch a post-game ceremony at centre-ice where Honda Canada, the Official Vehicle of the NHL® donated a brand new 2014 Honda CR-V. On behalf of the Ottawa Senators®, the car was donated to Make-A-Wish Canada's Eastern Ontario Chapter.
Honda Canada aims to support its long-time partner Make-A-Wish Canada and its dedicated team in its efforts to grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. The donation of the Honda CR-V will assist Make-A-Wish® Eastern Ontario by providing better support for its daily activities and will have a significant presence at local events and wish family visits as well as community and corporate outreach initiatives.
Honda Canada Inc. was founded in 1969. It has produced more than 6.5 million cars and trucks since 1986 at its two manufacturing facilities and builds engines at a third manufacturing plant in Alliston, Ontario. Both manufacturing facilities are extremely flexible and currently build Honda Civic and CR-V models. Honda Canada has invested more than $3 billion in Canada and each year it sources nearly $1.1 billion in goods and services from Canadian suppliers.
