It will be Acura at the point for the start of Sunday's IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen, with Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti's Louis Deletraz qualifying on pole in the #40 Acura ARX-06.
Deletraz's time of 1:32.209 put him just 0.038 of a second ahead of second place, but it was enough to clinch the pole position for himself and co-driver Jordan Taylor.
Deletraz and Taylor's WTRAndretti teammates Ricky Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque will be starting seventh for the six-hour race. The duo are coming off a victory on the tight and twisty streets of Detroit, their first in the electrified ARX-06 and of the new IMSA GTP era.
In the production-based GTD category, Sheena Monk, Stevan McAleer and Tatiana Calderón will be rolling off in the seventeenth position in the Gradient Racing Acura NSX GT3 Evo22.

I really enjoy this qualifying, and to be on pole here is fantastic, but it means nothing for the race. Long race – six hours – you can win from anywhere. It is never nice to qualify in the back but nice to start a race when you can work your way to the front."
