- Honda Baja Ridgeline finishes seventh in Trophy Truck
- Honda Off-Road Racing Team gains positions throughout the event
The Honda Off-Road Racing Team returned to Baja California this weekend, with the Honda Baja Ridgeline driven by Ethan Ebert finishing seventh in the premier Trophy Truck category at the Baja 500 after starting from the rear of the 21-truck field.
Race organizer SCORE required the Ridgeline to start from the rear of the field as the team did not take part in the series-opening San Felipe 250 in March. Starting driver Ethan Ebert steadily worked his way through slower traffic on the dusty and technical opening segments of the 483-mile loop course. Ebert climbed from 27th to 16th by his first pit stop, then gained three more positions prior to his second stop.
Taking over from Ebert at the 325-mile mark, finishing driver Richard Glasczak continued to gain positions as the course moved to the Pacific coast, bringing the Ridgeline home seventh in Trophy Truck, and 13th overall in the 180+ vehicle field.
