- Eric Powell, Kevin Boehm take their Honda Civic Type R’s to 1-2 TC finishes in both Saturday and Sunday races
- Carter Fartuch claims another 1st Place TCA trophy on Saturday
- Mike Stillwagon runs third on Sunday’s TCA event in his Honda Civic Si
Eric Powell and Carter Fartuch continued their winning ways this weekend at Watkins Glen International Raceway, as Honda drivers continued to dominate victory circle in the TC America Presented by Skip Barber Racing School season.
In the TC category, Powell increased his championship points lead – and was ably backed up by Kevin Boehm – as the pair finished 1-2 with their Honda Civic Type R’s in both Saturday and Sunday’s races in upstate New York. Powell continues to lead the TC Drivers’ Championship standings after eight of 14 races, with 126.5 points. Boehm is ranked second with 105.
In TCA, Carter Fartuch posted his third consecutive victory of the season in Saturday’s race in his Skip Barber Racing School Honda Civic Si, but was an unfortunate DNF in Sunday’s contest. After eight races, he holds down second in the TCA Drivers’ Championship, just 8.5 points behind leader Caleb Bacon.
A pair of fourth-place results for Jose Blanco in his VGMC Racing Honda Civic Si saw the Puerto Rican move into third in the TCA title race with 69 points. Meanwhile Mike Stillwagon produced another podium finish for Honda on Sunday, finishing third in his #20 Honda Civic Si.
