• Approximately 4,000 CR-V vehicles in Canada are affected

Honda has voluntarily recalled approximately 4,000 2017 model-year CR-V vehicles in Canada to replace their fuel feed pipes, free of charge. Many of these vehicles were not yet sold at the time of the recall. Honda has not received any reports of crashes, fires or injuries related to this issue.
Due to a potential issue in the manufacturing of the fuel feed pipe by a Honda supplier, the feed pipe and the feed hose may not be completely connected or may disconnect once the fuel lines become pressurized, resulting in a fuel leak. A fuel leak can cause the engine to stall, increasing the risk of a crash, or if there is a fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source, there is a risk of a fire.
Honda is announcing this recall to encourage owners of affected vehicles to take them to an authorized dealer as soon as they receive mailed notification from Honda. Mail notification to owners of affected vehicles is expected in August 2017. As of July 14th, owners of 2017 CR-Vs could determine if their vehicles require repair by visiting www.honda.ca/recalls or by calling 1-888-946-6329.
