Honda Canada is voluntarily recalling approximately 61,000 2023-2025 Honda vehicles in the Canada for a free inspection and, if necessary, replacement of the high-pressure fuel pump if the inspection indicates the presence of a defective part.
Due to a defective high-pressure fuel pump core, cracks may form inside the fuel pump. During vehicle operation, these cracks can lead to possible fuel leaks and fuel smell while idling or driving. A fuel leak in the presence of a spark increases the risk of a fire, along with the potential of a subsequent crash or injuries.
Registered owners of all affected models will be contacted by mail and asked to take their vehicle to an authorized Honda dealer for a free inspection. The dealer will inspect and replace the high-pressure fuel pump if it is found to be defective.
Honda Canada is announcing this recall and is working diligently to prepare the necessary tools and service parts required for the dealer to perform the recall service in the coming weeks. Mailed notification to owners of vehicles will occur in early December 2024. Owners of these vehicles can also determine if their vehicles require repair by visiting https://www.honda.ca/en/recalls.
