The Honda Canada Foundation and the Ontario Honda Dealers spread holiday cheer for the 50th Annual CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish

  • Generous donor takes home 2017 Honda Civic EX sedan
  • More than 4,000 toys collected for the cause

In support of the 50th Annual CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish, Honda Canada and the Ontario Honda dealers collected more than 4,000 toys that will be delivered to children across the Greater Toronto Area. The Honda toy drive began on November 15th and involved the participation of all 78 Ontario Honda dealers.

Ontario residents were asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy to their local Honda dealer.  In return for their generous donation, each received an online ballot making them eligible to win a new car.  One lucky winner was randomly selected and then announced during this morning's CP24 Breakfast broadcast.  Akindele Bankole, from Milton, ON, is now the proud owner of a brand new 2017 white Civic EX sedan.

"The CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish brings joy to children and families in need and the Honda Canada Foundation couldn't be happier to be a part of this important cause for the sixth year," said Dave Gardner, Senior Vice President of Operations, Honda Canada Inc. "We'd like to thank our customers, associates and suppliers for their generous donations, as well as the continued involvement of Honda dealers across the province. This is what holiday giving is all about."

Honda Canada strives to be a company that Canadians want to exist and the Honda Canada Foundation strongly believes in supporting children's and family charities, both on a national and local basis, where our associates live, work and play, and is involved with such partners as Earth Rangers Bring Back the Wild, Make-A-Wish® Canada and the Ontario Science Centre.
