As part of its annual North American Supplier Conference, Honda is pleased to continue its tradition of making a charitable contribution to a local organization to recognize its commitment and purpose within the community.
This year, through the Honda Canada Foundation, Habitat for Humanity Huronia was selected to receive a 2018 CR-V Touring model, built at Honda of Canada Mfg. in Alliston, Ontario. Habitat for Humanity Huronia has been serving the Barrie, Angus, and South Simcoe regions since 1996. Over the past 21 years, Habitat Huronia has united the local community to help more than 40 families build strength, stability and independence through affordable homeownership.
In addition, Habitat Huronia operates Habitat ReStore locations in Alliston and Barrie. These Habitat ReStore operations recycle, reuse and repurpose many household goods, reducing landfill waste while providing the community with an opportunity to purchase gently-used building supplies. Funds generated through Habitat ReStore sales are used to support Habitat Huronia’s homebuilding projects and operations.

"The addition of a CR-V will significantly increase our capacity to serve more families by providing support to our two Habitat ReStore operations. It will also help transport volunteers to-and-from homebuilding projects and fundraising events.”
