Overivew
The eighth-generation Civic offers increased performance, a stylistic exterior design, refined interior, class-leading standard safety features, four distinct models for a wide range of customers, and an overall increased level of vehicle quality with a fun-to-drive character. As the Civic has been re-invented throughout its previous seven generations (with more than 1.2 million Civics sold in Canada since 1973), each new model has consistently set new standards in the automotive industry with its innovative packaging, attractive styling, high fuel economy, low emissions, fun-to-drive performance, reliability and safety. The eighth-generation model amplifies the defining character of the Civic with a long list of Honda technology and engineering innovations, resulting in four distinct models that are pure Honda, exclusively Civic and outside the boundaries of traditional small car thinking. The Civic delivers on Honda's commitment to deliver the highest quality at a reasonable price. In its first year on the market, the eight generation Civic was recognized as the NAIAS (Noth American International Auto Show) Car of the Year, the Motor Trend Car of the Year and the AJAC (Automotive Journalists Association of Canada) Car of the Year.
