Honda Canada To Extend Benefits to Certain 2007, 2008 and 2009 Honda CR-V Owners and Lessees

In an effort to ensure our Canadian customers receive customer service and benefits consistent with those extended to Honda customers in the United States, Honda Canada plans to extend settlement benefits received by U.S. customers under a U.S. class action settlement* to current and former owners and lessees in Canada of certain 2007, 2008 and 2009 Honda CR-V models.

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. has received preliminary court approval of a United States class action settlement pertaining to door actuators on certain 2007, 2008 and 2009 Honda CR-V models.* Final approval of the U.S. class action is expected in early 2015.

Once the U.S. settlement is approved by the Court and becomes final, Honda Canada will send notice by mail to current and former owners and lessees of the affected vehicles in Canada who may be eligible for these benefits.

Honda Canada would like to assure its Canadian customers that upon the final court approval and implementation of this class action settlement in the U.S., any settlement benefits that are extended to owners and lessees of the affected Honda CR-Vs in the U.S., will also be extended to owners and lessees of the affected Honda CR-Vs in Canada. Honda Canada is taking this step in recognition of the importance to Honda Canada of the satisfaction of its Canadian Honda CR-V customers.
