Honda Canada Reports July Sales

  • Acura RDX and MDX celebrate Civic retains position a best-selling passenger vehicle in Canada

  • CR-V claims best-selling SUV

  • Honda Canada launches new corporate website in July

MARKHAM, ON (August 1, 2018) – Honda Canada Inc. today reported July sales of 18,455 Honda and Acura vehicles, down 0.5 percent from the previous year. The Honda Automobile Division reported July sales of 16,693 units sold, down 0.9 percent from the previous year, while the Acura Division reported July sales of 1,762 units, up 3.6 percent versus last year.

“It’s been a hot summer for the Acura brand with solid sales growth compared to 2017 overall, the best-ever July for RDX and MDX, and we’re aiming to keep the momentum moving into the coming months,” said Emile Korkor, Senior Manager and Brand Leader, Acura Canada. “We continue to see strong interest in our A-Spec packages which accentuates the already sporty design of the TLX, RDX and coming soon the MDX.”

“Strong performances from our Civic and CR-V models ensured that July sales were consistent with our results from the same time last year,” said Jean Marc Leclerc, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Honda Canada. “July was an exciting month; Honda took first and third place at the Honda Indy Toronto and cheered on hometown talent, James Hinchcliffe, to a close fourth place finish.”

In July, Honda Canada launched the all-new corporate website. The new site will serve as a versatile tool to communicate the company’s corporate story and help reinforce Honda’s commitment to Canada. The new website can be viewed at www.hondacanada.ca.

Designed to create a space to communicate Honda’s Global 2030 Vision, the site now allows the brand to talk to Canadians about its past, present and future to share corporate philosophies and practices. Honda Canada has a rich history in manufacturing, environmental initiatives, innovation and social responsibility, and continues to participate in activities in these areas that drive the company to its 2030 goals.
